Christmas Celebrations

Our Christmas was great. We enjoyed lots of family, food, fun, and presents!!!!

Smarty is now old enough to really understand the Nativity story. It was so fun to watch him accept it and begin his own thought process about the blessed event.

Here's some pics Russ' Amanda took on our trip to Temple Square to see the lights, the day after Christmas.
I still marvel that pioneers were able to build this magnificent building. Their sacrifice and dedication is inspiring!

Brrrrrrrrrr! I seem to have a knack for choosing the coldest days to do this kind of thing!

Smarty entertained us on the train ride home

Here's my cute little 1 1/2 year old in a 9-12m coat that's still a little roomie

While we were admiring the Christus I asked Smarty why Jesus had holes in his hands. Smarty surprised me with one of the best answers I've ever heard, "Because He loves us."

I guess something is working. Thanks primary teachers!

Yay Smarty!

And does he like his Mater unders? Cause I had to go buy Piper some today. You can imagine how cute that looks with that little flap boy hole thing or whatever it is!

Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff hey?

The pics are cute and I love your story about Smarty. That is special. And yes, it seemed to be the coldest day. I stayed in most the day except to go buy milk. Roy had to go to work that night and Cory went home in the afternoon. I watched a couple good movies and fell asleep on the couch. Your day seemed so much more exciting.
