The Sweet Smell of Bullets in Bloom

Today I came home from dinner with the girls to find a new 'plant' in my garden that I haven't noticed before. At least I haven't seen this particular 'plant' growing in gardens around here.
Perhaps since the price of bullets has blown sky-high, Ben is trying to harvest our own. Does anyone happen to know if artillery shells can be successfully divided? I suppose this is just one more step toward self-reliance. Wish us luck!

Only the men in my family would do that! I guess you can't blame a guy for trying!

Actually, it looks pretty cool. That Ben knows what he's doing. No garden gnomes for your family!

Good one Lyn! When you propogate your own bullets you must divide them in the fall and replant immediately so they have a chance to establish a good root system over the winter and be ready to bloom next spring. Good luck with that. Should save you a lot of money when your hubby goes "shooting".

I Love your pictures - you did a great job of copying them without a scanner. Your writing is beautiful and fun. Love, Grandma Moody
