An Update

I'm glad to report that Sweety is attempting imitation of speech quite a bit lately! (That's a pretty big deal for apraxic kids) He's using a few more words these days, including please, yes, sleep, eat, peas, bye, and pink pig. Woo-hoo! Prior to this month, his vocabulary of spoken words included only mama, more, baby, and daddy (unfortunately he's not using the /d/ sound right now, so 'daddy' has gone missing) Here's hoping we find 'daddy' again soon. ;)

In other news: I wish I was brilliant enough to record and post Smarty singing and dancing to "Shake Your Tail Feathers" by the Cheetah Girls. (It plays during the credits of Disney's Chicken Little) Smarty bends his knees, sticks his bum out, looks over his shoulder and does this little side-ways slide while singing over and over, "shake it, shake it, bay-buh!" It's hilarious! Definately a pay-day for me!

Yeah for Sweety! And I just might steal Smarty's dance moves! I love when kids dance! Shake it Smarty!

I so want to see that! Maybe we will have to have a family performance night.

Oh, I want to see that too. It sounds too adorable, and anything he does is so precious. It's amazing to see the boys personalities blossoming. You are an awesome mom!

Hey, count me in on Smarty's dance, I want to see it too. Love to hear of the success you are having teaching Sweety to talk.
Sorry to learn you haven't been feeling well. Does the stormy weather affect you as much as it does me. My arthritic joints flare up and it gets hard to get around. Thankfully it isn't all the time. Love, Grandma Moody

Hi there,

I found your blog through a comment you left on another apraxic mom's blog...5 kids and a dog.

My daughter is 28 months and recently diagnosed with dyspraxia. Feel free to visit our blog at derekannette.blogspot.com.

I will be checking in more later, but wanted to say hi.
