Confession

I'm not starting this blog about apraxia because I have tons of wisdom to impart upon the world. My selfish confession is: I’m afraid I'm in need of some help!

First, I have two beautiful boys and one feeble memory. Dealing with son #1’s, Smarty’s, apraxia has been a labor intensive journey filled with trial-and-error experiences. I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. Son #2, Sweetie, looks like he also has apraxia, and I’d like to keep a record of sorts, filled with all of the things we did to help Smarty. My memory recall skills are weak at best, and I already find myself thinking, “What the heck did we do when Smarty was facing this issue?”

Second, (here's the part where you come in!) I am hoping to receive feedback on some very specific questions. I’m sure those of you with apraxic kids can sympathize with my frustration regarding the lack of info available about all this stuff. So please, please take a minute and equip me with the tools I need to raise capable, contributing human beings, and hopefully we’ll all benefit from the discussion.

I get to be your first comment. Yay Me! I am excited to read. Your two boys are so adorable and I know they aren't easy. You do a fab job.

Hi Lyn,

I don't have any advice for you, sorry. I just saw the link on Bonnie's page and wanted to stop and say hi.

I'm glad you are here, it's so much easier for me to keep up with people online. That kind of sucks, but hey, it's a fact.

Anyway, take care of the boys! They are soooo cute. I need to see them, I miss Baby Will, who I guess isn't the baby anymore. :)

Have a good day,
Tracy

I don't know what to tell you at this point. I have no ideas to help you, but hang in there you are a good mother. One thing I can tell you is, you are the patient and loving mother they needed in this life.

♡ So what is apraxia? I've never even heard of it. Maybe I'll google it, that is if like you said there is any info out there on it?
