A Remarkable Discovery

We started working with Smarty's right hand, last January, to give him a head start on Kindergarten. And then, of course, he broke his right arm and had to start using his left hand. But we were surprised to see that in the few weeks Smarty's right arm was in a cast, his left hand developed and surpassed his right hand in terms of control and ability.

Apparently we have an ambidextrous child. And why not? It's certainly not the first time Smarty has surprised us! In the months since the cast has come off, Smarty's gradually gravitated back to using his right hand for most things, but we still encourage him to practice with his left too.

Lucky devil. I can see some serious advantages in his future!
