Neither Ben or I had time to clean the house or plan a party, so we went to the $3 theater with all Smarty's friends to see Toy Story 3.
They enjoyed the movie, but I think the arcade in the lobby was the biggest hit.

...not that anyone actually played a game. They just enjoyed playing on the games.

After the movie, we ate cupcakes and opened presents on the patio outside. It was a bit chilly, but we still had a good time.
While we were there, Grandpa R discovered that an old friend he played football with in high school does the projectionist work for the theater as a hobby. So after our party guests cleared out, Grandpa's friend took us up to the projection room and showed us how everything works up there. He even let Smarty start the next film in honor of his birthday! How cool is that?!
For our party with the Reeders, Dad make a brilliant Planet 51 cake:

At the Bardwell party, Aunt Amanda made a textured Yoda head that would have put the Ace of Cakes to shame.
